Another ColdFusion developer position has become available at Design UK, the company I work for here in the center of London.

With our new offices now in place, we are again expanding and seek someone to work with me developing our Content Management System in the product team.

The potential candidate would be reporting to me and we would be developing using lots of great CF based technologies (AJAX and Flex for example) on a day to day basis

Some more details below:

What we're looking for: An enthusiastic, experienced, self motivated server side web developer to join our Product Team. Experience We're looking for an experienced web developer to join our product team. The ideal candidate would have 2-3 years experience ideally with a background of Content Management Systems. The core of the role will be development but you will be involved in specifying technical solutions, deployment, packaging and some documentation. The main server side skills we are looking for are
  • ColdFusion
  • SQL Server
  • Java (Servlets, JSP, Struts & other web Java technologies)
  • Flex
  • Ajax (Spry, Yahoo UI, Ext etc)
Experience of ANT, Application server deployment & configuration - JRUN & Tomcat, CVS and Subversion, would be a big plus. As well as Server side programming skills, you should be familiar with
  • XML
  • HTML, JavaScript, CSS
Knowledge of other programming languages and web development tools are distinct plus notably C, Python, Perl, Flash, PHP, ASP, MySQL, Apache, IIS etc. Attitude wise we'd like
  • Enthusiasm and curiosity about the web and technology
  • Good communication & writing skills
  • Good technical background
  • Good problem solving ability
  • Flexibility

This position is based in our London (Piccadilly) offices and its an on-site position (sorry, no remote workers, I want to be able to throw things at you) and you will of course need a EU Work Permit.
